IIT - JEE ADVANCE
IIT JEE is a national level engineering entrance exam consisting of two stages – JEE Main & JEE Advanced. JEE Main is a screening exam to select the candidates who will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which will serve as final exam to select candidates for admission into prestigious IITs. The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE (Main) is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class 12) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class 12) final or equivalent examination in may also appear in JEE (Main) provisionally.
Eligibility Criteria For IIT-JEE ADVANCE
- To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2022, candidates must qualify JEE Main 2022 (Paper 1) and rank among the top 2,50,000 (including all categories) candidates in B.E./B. Tech. The top 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates of different categories become eligible for admissions according to the following percentages: GEN-EWS – 10%
- Last year, Education Minister has declared waiver of minimum 75% marks in class 12 from JEE Advanced eligibility criteria. Various factors such as a qualifying exam, marks required and more has to be met by the candidates for admissions into IITs through JEE Advanced .
- Thus, for top 500 candidates also, IIT Bombay emerged as the top choice with over 28 per cent candidates getting provisional admission in Open category. With 22 per cent qualified candidates admitted provisionally to IIT Delhi, it was the second top choice of candidates.
- Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is one of the most popular and the toughest exams in India for which scores of science stream students appear every year.
- For getting a rank under the badge of 10000 in JEE Mains in Common Rank List, you need atleast 180 marks or more than that out of 360 to be in safer hands.
